Recently I watched the film 'The Hallows' and it was a good film overall, but the story line and the back story was not very clear. In the film which is a horror film the creatures in the film were not that scary so I think they could have improved them also the film does not explain how they got there, what they are and when they were created and in general no back story to them so that was a bit confusing.
In the film there was a lot of suspense and silence to make the viewer a bit more scared. Also there was a lot of scenes in the dark since it was explained in the film that the creatures do not like the sunlight since it burns them, also the dark scenes added to how scary the film looked.The film was not very unique since there have been many films like it but the only unique part was the way how they used the monsters and the plot although it was still confusing. The film I think would not rank that high in the horror genre because it does not have that much jump scares in it and the suspenseful scenes do not last very long so you do not get enough time to start to think whats going to happen next.
